Ocracoke is a modern tiny house with smart storage solutions and design ideas that make the living space feel much bigger.
Designed and built by Modern Tiny Living (MTL) in Columbus, Ohio, Ocracoke is a unique tiny house that comfortably sleeps up to four people.
Ocracoke Tiny House
It measures 24 ft (7.3 meters) in length and 8.6 ft (2.6 meters) wide. As you get inside this tiny house, to the right is the living room, which includes what the company calls the “MTL Social Area.” It’s a versatile corner featuring an oversized U-shaped couch that transforms into a two-bed, providing additional sleeping space when needed.
This area also has two bookcases and up to six drawers to store different items.
Ocracoke Kitchen
The kitchen is to the left, next to the entrance. It has a large countertop, a black sink, a mini-fridge, and several shelves and cabinets for storing cookware. The kitchen also features a dining bar that can seat three people.
Bathroom
Next to the kitchen is the bathroom, separated from the rest of the house via a custom blue barn door. It’s compact and fitted with a fiberglass shower, a glass door, a standard flush toilet, and several shelves.
Bedroom
Access to the lofted bedroom is provided by a staircase. The staircase features built-in storage areas and a closet that you can utilize for hanging clothes or as a pantry.
The loft is quite spacious and surrounded by large windows that let natural light in. This area has enough room for a king-size bed and two small nightstands.
This tiny house also has a ductless mini split AC unit and a water heater. You can use the house as a permanent residence or a weekend getaway.
