Ocracoke is a modern tiny house with smart storage solutions and design ideas that make the living space feel much bigger. Modern Tiny Living (MTL) out of Columbus, Ohio, designed and built Ocracoke, a unique tiny house that comfortably sleeps up to four people. This tiny house on wheels measures 24 ft (7.3 meters) in length and 8.6 ft (2.6 meters) wide.
Living Area
As you get inside this tiny house, to the right is the living room. It has what the company calls the “MTL Social Area.” It’s a versatile corner that comes with a large U-shaped couch that transforms into a bed for two. This provides additional sleeping space when needed. Two bookcases and up to six drawers provide ample storage for various items in this area.
Kitchen
To the left, next to the entrance is the kitchen. It has a large countertop, a black sink, a mini-fridge, and several shelves and cabinets for storing the cookware. The kitchen also features a dining bar that can seat three people.
Bathroom
Next to the kitchen is the bathroom, separated from the rest of the house via a custom blue barn door. It’s compact and fitted with a fiberglass shower, a glass door, a standard flush toilet, and several shelves.
Tiny House on Wheels Ocracoke Bedroom
A staircase provides access to the lofted bedroom. The staircase has built-in storage areas. Additionally, it features a closet suitable for hanging clothes or serving as a pantry.
The loft features ample space and large windows that allow natural light. In addition, this area has enough room for a king-size bed and two small nightstands.
This tiny house also has a ductless mini split AC unit and a water heater. The house can serve as a permanent residence or a weekend getaway.
