Are you looking for an opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with nature? Look no further than this off-grid tiny house vacation rental The Maldhi. This tiny house is near a Cliffside on southern Australia’s Eyre Peninsula. This unique vacation rental allows you to experience a simpler way of living and embrace the beauty of nature. The Maldhi features an open interior layout and generous glazing that puts the focus firmly on its stunning location. This tiny house measures 8 x 3 m (26 x 9.8 ft).
Owing to its remote location, it’s completely powered by its own solar-battery power system. High-speed WiFi and a booster for Telstra phone service is provided.
Off Grid Tiny House Maldhi Interior
The interior includes a sliding door that provides access to the deck area. The deck promotes semi-outdoor living with a table and a barbecue for outdoor dining when the weather suits. The ceiling and walls feature a utilitarian Oriented Strand Board (OSB), left unfinished to complement the dark color palette inside. Large windows allow plenty of natural light into the space.
Living/Dining Area
A significant portion of the interior is occupied by a combined living/dining area that features a large L-shaped sofa bed and a coffee table.
Breakfast Bar and Kitchenette
A breakfast bar for two lies nearby, with a kitchenette adjacent. The kitchen contains a fridge, a two-burner propane-powered stove, and a sink. A collection of shelving and cabinetry offers storage space.
Bedrooms
The main sleeping area is next to the living area and contains a double bed.
Above the sleeping area is a typical tiny house-style loft bedroom. It has very little headroom and can be a sleeping area for kids.
Bathroom
The bathroom, meanwhile, is on the opposite side of the home adjacent to the main sleeping area. It has a flushing toilet and a double shower. It further boasts a high-end finish that includes handmade Moroccan tiles in clay and brushed-gold tapware.
The Maldhi cost AUD 450 per night (roughly US$310).
